Anti-bullying books launched
Last month The Salvation Army in Tasmania hosted the launch of three anti-bullying books by Bruce and Denise Morcombe, child safety ambassadors from the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.
Developed and produced by The Salvation Army - Communities for Children South East Tasmania, these stories were ‘written to promote discussion between children and parents, carers, teachers and anyone who works with young people. They encourage children to discuss their feelings with someone they trust and convey the message, through the powerful means of telling of a story, that friends can be a strong support for anyone who is experiencing any kind of concerns surrounding the issues of cyberbullying, cybersafety and sibling bullying.’
The launch was attended by a host of politicians, print and broadcast media, and children from schools including Campania District High School and Gagebrook Primary School.
