Events provide a fabulous opportunity to draw on the support of your existing team plus engage members in the community. Given events are generally held at a point in time with a specific purpose, gaining exposure through community networks and media enable engagement outside ‘business as usual’. Even the annual ‘National Volunteer week’ (May) and International volunteer day (5 Dec) provide an opportunity to not only recognise your current volunteers, but also profile your service through local and state media.
