Training for Managers of Volunteers
This is a must-do course if you are a manager or administrator of volunteers. This interactive and easy-to-follow online course will take you through the 6 stages of volunteer management and give you the confidence, knowledge and resources to promote safe and effective volunteering at your mission expression.

The VIIT has been created to give managers of volunteers a better understanding of how the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement are currently being applied to their mission expression. SP3 Training (Safe People, Safe Programs, Safe Places)
Put this on your to do list if you run children and youth programs in your corps! SP3 training is TSA mandated training for all those working with people under 18 in our corps.
Training can be arranged by your local corps officer and/or Divisional Youth or Children's Secretary.
SMO (Safety Management Online) is the online safety management tool used for planning, training and recording SP3 information.

Zero Tolerance – Bullying, Harassment and Discrimination
TSA wants all workers to enjoy a safe and health workplace free from inappropriate behaviour.
This mandatory training can be delivered online through LEARN
Or via one hour face to face group training.

Mental Health First Aid
Learn to recognise the signs, symptoms and causes of mental health problems and how to give appropriate initial help and support someone experiencing a mental health problem. Learn how to take appropriate action if a crisis situation arises involving suicidal behaviour, panic attack, stress reaction to trauma, overdose or threatening psychotic behaviour.
