Events & Short Term Volunteers

Events and short term volunteers have a symbiotic relationship designed to help benefit one another in creating and implementing a successful event. Short term volunteering occurs for events that typically do not have any on-going programs or services requiring long term commitment. These one-off endeavours may include:

  1. Short term availability (2-4 hours)
  2. Short term frequency (e.g. Twice per year)
  3. Specific projects (e.g. RSA fundraising event
  4. Youth camps
  5. Short term activity (e.g. advocacy)

If you are the person planning the event, this should be a fun and rewarding, yet challenging role. In this guide, we aim to provide you with the tools you need to deliver the event you are looking to create.
