Feeding Homeless people
A company named ‘Dineamic Food’ has made an initial donation of 80 meals (worth several hundreds of dollars) to The Salvation Army’s Melbourne Project 614 to feed the 70 residents of the Magpie Nest, with the possibility of ongoing donations.
The nutritious meals, of chicken burritos, were assembled and prepared by staff and volunteers. ‘We are hopeful that this is the start of an ongoing partnership to help people who need to eat,’ said Major Brendan Nottle. The major thanked Darcy Moore, ambassador for Dineamic Food, and former AFL football star Jason Johnson, who is involved with the company and was a long-term supporter and volunteer for the Salvos’ 614 outreach van.
