New funding to counter ice
The Salvation Army’s Australia Southern Territory has been successful in gaining federal funding, to help ice users, in two separate consortia arrangements.
The consortia partnerships in the Northern Victoria Division utilise approximately half a million dollars of federal ‘ice’ funding to help people battling addiction to the drug. There are two separate consortia. The consortia where The Salvation Army is the lead agency is in partnership with Mind Australia; the consortia where The Salvation Army is a junior partner is led by Goulburn Valley Health, in partnerships also with Odyssey House Victoria.
