Amy Hanson, Ph.D.
Amy Hanson leads a speaking, writing and consulting ministry that equips the church for ministry with the new old.  She is the author of the book, Baby Boomers and Beyond:  Tapping the Ministry Talents and Passions of Adults over 50 and she regularly teaches gerontology courses to college students.  Amy lives with her family in Council Bluffs, IA.  You can read more about her ministry and follow her blog at www.amyhanson.org    Find out more

Graham Agnew
Graham Agnew is a 40 year veteran with the Churches of Christ in Australia. As Senior Minister at the Marion Church of Christ he saw the congregation become one of the largest Churches of Christ in the nation. Since his late 20's Graham has been asked to speak at various conferences and seminars, both in Australia and in the United States. Among his broad themes are Leadership, Relationships, Teamwork, Marriage/Family, Healthy Churches and Creating Intergenerational Communities.

For 25 years, Graham served as an Instructor for the internationally renowned Dale Carnegie organisation, conducting classes part-time for business people in the areas of Leadership, Communication, Personal Development and Human Relations.  During the 90's Graham spoke at scores of Conferences around Australia and at one point, his client list read like a Who's Who of Australian business.

For about seven years now Graham has been producing daily radio spots for Christian stations around the nation and has published the book entitled “Hope in 60 Seconds” which contains 100 of his presentations.    Find out more

The Workshops

7 workshops will be held over the two day conference. Each workshop runs for one hour. You can choose two workshop preferences to attend over the two days.

Workshop 1

The Ageing Paul (Theology of Ageing in Christ) with Lynn Moresi

For those who want to look at the theological aspect of Ageing In Christ. This session will explore the personal and ministry changes that occurred in the latter years of Paul’s life and will consider second-half-of-life pathways that will enable us to leave a lasting legacy of grace and blessing for the next generation. Why and how to run Alpha Plus with Philippa Fielding

This will be a fun and practical workshop to inform and update you about Alpha’s resources. It will inspire and encourage you as to how your church can engage older adults in spiritual conversations. Alpha helps people of all ages explore questions of life, meaning and faith.
